WE WON'T BE HUNGRY MUCH LONGER
Season 2 of the Showtime teen drama Yellowjackets finds the cast in dire straits, fighting for survival with a frosty wilderness backdropping their descent into mental and physical decline. For SXSW 2023, we invited guests to “Camp Yellowjackets,” a campy experience that draws on the show’s themes of dark humor and survivalism.

With replica set builds and exploration-themed programming, guests were transported to the world of Yellowjackets, cementing the experience as a clear standout amidst the competitive SXSW market.
Guests explored the camp at their own pace. They tasted mushroom tea at a foraging station, threw an axe at target practice, got their camp portrait taken, and explored the many details and easter eggs in the cabin. Food & beverages were served by butchers in “bloody” aprons, creating additional in-world storytelling that nod to the dark humor of the show.
